On new years eve, Meryll Soriano reveals new born baby and rekindled romance with Joem Bascon

Meryll Soriano revealed her new baby and not-so-new love on New Year’s Day.

Meryll Soriano surprised everyone on New Year’s Day as she revealed her rekindled romance with Joem Bascon, as well as a new baby.

On an Instagram post on New Year’s day, Meryll posted a “family” picture with her son Elijah Palanca, a newborn baby, and actor Joem Bascon.

“2021! May this year be kinder to all of us. May we all find peace, joy, and love”

In her photos, it showed Bascon kissing the baby that Soriano is holding.

This confirms rumors back in January 2020 that the two have rekindled their romance after a decade since parting ways. Both actors then evaded questions of them getting back together, as Bascon’s ex, vlogger Crisha Uy went viral due to her emotional vlog.

The ABS-CBN teleserye, starring Judy Ann Santos, includes both Bascon and Soriano as cast members. Their respective characters, however, have little interaction with each other.

Bascon opted for a general answer about the camaraderie built among the cast and crew of “Starla,” following one reporter’s mention of “balikan” or reconciliation between him and Soriano.

Bascon and Soriano first worked together during the 2008 teleserye “I Love Betty La Fea,” where their relationship started. The two separated afterward.

Meanwhile, here are some comments from netizens regarding Meryll’s revelation:

“happy for them but I feel sad for crisha😭

“kaya pala ganun na lang kasakit naramdaman ni Inday crisha before sa break up nila ni dudung joem 😔

“grabe tagal nila ni Crisha tas naghiwalay yun pala bumalik sa ex nya at nagka baby na agad sila.”

“Crisha Uy now i understand the pain in your eyes”

“Kaya pala hiniwalayan nya si Crisha😥…Anyway congrats pa rin, baby is a blessings”
