Heart Evangelista transformed a wall in her and Chiz Escudero’s Sorsogon home.
Heart Evangelista is on a personal mission to give Sorsogon-based artisans a platform on social media.
In her latest vlog entry on YouTube, the GMA-7 star showed how she used locally made products to furnish the poolside house of husband Chiz Escudero’s home in Sorsogon.
Chiz is currently the governor of the province.
During the quarantine, Heart developed her interest in interior design and gave her house in Quezon City a makeover.
For her next project, she flew to Sorsogon three months after observing quarantine rules in the city.
Upon arriving at their provincial home, the GMA-7 actress-host went straight to the little house in the property’s backyard and pool.
She rearranged and repurposed decors, and added the ornaments she brought with her from the city.
Afterward, Heart visited various markets around the province to find the best of Sorsogon-made products.
She handpicked interesting pieces and integrated them into the house’s design.
“Bringing the outside, indoors,” the actress said on her Instagram page.
Alongside photos of her artwork. The large painting featured various plants made with different shades of green.
“For this project, I was inspired by Sorsogon’s abundant greenery,” she said. “I wanted to reflect it in our home’s interiors.”
The actress also thanked her friends, celebrity hairstylist Jeck Aguilar and talent manager Ira Lesaca, for helping her complete the large artwork.
Heart spent three hours hand painting the bedroom’s wall.
Evangelista returned to Sorsogon last week to reunite with Escudero. The two had been apart for more than three months due to the community quarantine restrictions amid the C0VID-19 pandemic.
Prior to revealing the mural, the actress sold one of her previous paintings to purchase 550 tablets. The gadgets were given to students who have online classes during these unprecedented times.
