Another record-setting wedding was hosted in Maguindanao as second district Rep. Esmael “Toto” Mangudadatu becomes the sponsor of the wedding of a 23-year-old woman and a 64-year-old man.
While ethnic Muslim residents in Maguindanao generally do not celebrate Valentine’s Day being a foreign practice outside the scope of events in Islam, relatives and friends of bride Venus Usman and groom Max Gandalibo opted to hold the wedding rites on Valentine’s Day to ensure the presence of their principal of choice, Rep. Mangudadatu, who was also this province’s governor.
Mangudadatu considers this event significant because it is also the birthday of his late wife Ginalyn.
MAX & VENUS KALILANG 👰🤵
Mashallah!
May Allah shower your union with love, favor, and blessings! 😍
Mangudadatu shared photos of the wedding and said how it was proof that love knows no age.
The happy event was attended by the couple’s family and relatives. The bride, meanwhile, can also be seen teary-eyed in some parts of the wedding.
Venus first married when she was just 22-years-old. They had a child who left the world because of her husband.
It was then that she met Max, a kind-hearted and generous man who’s willing to do everything for her. But the family of Venus is against their relationship. But after a few months of courtship, Venus eventually fell for Max. Their romance eventually led to the viral wedding of the year.
