The 2018 Korean drama show “My Secret Terrius” viral online after one of its episodes ignited conspiracy theories concerning the pandemic in 2019 (C0’VID-19).
Videos of a similar scene beginning in the 53-minute mark of 10th episode to be exact have been shared online.
The scene showed a meeting at the hospital between a doctor and a woman complaining about a “mutant infection.”
Here’s the dialogue of the actors translated in English.
Doctor: We must do more research, but it looks like a mutant coronavirus.
Woman: Corona? Then MERS?
Doctor: MERS, SARS, the common flu. They all fall in the same family with the same gene information. The coronavirus attacks the respiratory system. During the 2015 MERS epidemic, the mortality rate was over 20 percent.
Woman: But that’s not serious enough to be used as a weapon. Am I wrong?
Doctor: Like I said, this is a mutant virus. Someone tweaked it to increase the mortality rate to almost 90 percent. What’s more serious is that the coronavirus has an incubation period of two to fourteen days. The virus was manipulated to attack the lungs directly within just five minutes of being exposed.
The Netizens shared the clips of the video on social media, which shows expressing fear while others believing the K-drama series predicted the current C0’VID-19 pandemic.
Meanwhile, the “My Secret Terrius” is a Korean drama science fiction series about a woman who tracks her husband’s death with her neighbor who is a NIS agent. They later realize that the husband was involved in a huge conspiracy.

Apparently, an article in the journal Nature Medicine reports that their “study specifically demonstrates that SARS-CoV-2 (C0’VID-19) is not a laboratory design or a deliberately engineered virus.”
Robert Garry, a virologist at Tulane University, explained the genome sequence of C0’VID-19 and said one thing he should assure us is that it’s “not a bioweapon.”
What can you say?
