The country is in a state of confusion and alert today because of the virus outbreak called nC0v.
As well all don’t like to get caught on this, people are doing the best to prevent the virus. Awareness over this nC0v is highly anticipated on social media, thus doing some joke or prank regarding this will surely create an issue.
Apparently, a Pinoy vlogger named Marlon de Vera of Legaspi City tried how far her video could go. Little did he know, his supposed to be a prank will put him under arrest.
Authorities arrested a vlogger who played a prank that he has 2019 new coronavirus or nCoV at a mall in Legaspi City, Albay, Sunday night. Marlon later asking for an apology to the public and to the Yashamo mall.
“Natatakot ako sa mangyayari, nabalitaan kung kakasuhan ako ng may-ari ng mall, hindi ko naman akalain na ganito ang mangyayari sa pagbibiro ko, gusto ko lang magpasaya, lahat kasi takot sa (2019) nCoV virus,” he said.
In his post at “Uragon Vlogger fanpage”, the suspect identified by police as Marlon De Vera apologized to the public and to the Yashano Mall for the “nCoV prank” he pulled off.
Police Captain Dexter Panganiban, for the Albay Provincial Police Office (PPO), identified the man as Marlon de Vera, an active vlogger in the province and resident of Purok 2, Brgy. Bigano, Legaspi City.
It was around 6:00 pm when de Vera lay down at the mall’s entrance wearing a black mask, white shirt, and denim pants. He pretended he had a seizure and had lost consciousness.
The scenario was videoed by his colleague, a few minutes later, Marlon stood up and did a bit of stretching.
He then shook hands with guard and said he had the nCoV, which resulted in the panic of shoppers who were running in a hurry to get away from the mall’s entrance.
The security interrogated him and discovered that it was just a prank.
