Department of Health (DOH) Secretary Francisco Duque III provided the public with advice on what they should do to prevent and fight the disease of the novel coronavirus following reports that the Philippines already has the first case of such a virus .
Statement by Sec. Duque, one of the things the public has to do is to eat foods rich in Vitamins, A, C, E, and zinc minerals. He also said that it is better to drink fruit juice and eat malunggay.
We know that malunggay is one of the vegetables that contribute to one’s health. It is rich in vitamins, amino acids, and other nutrients that humans need.
So eating or putting malunggay in a soup or mixing any other type of food can be resistant to the coronavirus due to the vitamins it has that every one of us needs.
The Department of Health continues to warn the public that if possible avoid eating exotic foods first, avoiding raw foods, and meat.
If you want to eat meat, make sure it is cooked long and well to make sure that the germs that it contains are gone.
The Secretary also advice that if possible just greet the person and avoid any physical contact.
Also avoid temporarily shaking hands with other people. Duque added, It is advisable to always wear a surgical mask and avoid going to crowded places to prevent coronavirus infection.
2019 Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) is a virus (more specifically, a coronavirus) identified as the cause of an outbreak of respiratory illness first detected in Wuhan, China. Early on, many of the patients in the outbreak in Wuhan, China reportedly had some link to a large seafood and animal market, suggesting animal-to-person spread. However, a growing number of patients reportedly have not had exposure to animal markets, indicating person-to-person spread is occurring. At this time, it’s unclear how easily or sustainably this virus is spreading between people.
