‘Mas masaya kesa sa showbiz’ Patrick Garcia a full pledge father and husband

Remember Patrick Garcia? One of the most anticipated actors and ‘crush ng bayan’ during the early 2000s?

Well, the 38-year-old actor once captured the hearts of many girls and showbiz fans because of his killer smile. the handsome actor was last seen on ABS-CBN noontime teleserye, Playhouse with Angelica Panganiban and Zanjoe Marudo.

He was one of the original cast of “Ang TV” in 1992. He was later relaunched as a member of Star Circle (now Star Magic) Batch 2 in ABS-CBN. He is also the brother of another “Ang TV cast” and “Star Circle” Batch 3 member, Cheska Garcia and commercial model Pichon Garcia.

He established his name as an actor as early as 11-years-old when he appeared on several award-winning heavy drama movies like Separada with Maricel Soriano

and Batang PX with Zsa Zsa Padilla.

The actor had previously dated Kapuso actress Jennylyn Mercado and together they have a son named Alex Jazz Mercado who was born on August 16, 2008.

In June 2008, he left for New York “to pursue studies in directing at New York University” but nothing came of his plans to go to film school.

He left Jennylyn Mercado, who was at that time, pregnant with their child. On October 9, 2008, he returned to the Philippines for the wedding of his sister Cheska Garcia and basketball player Doug Kramer.

Patrick then married Nikka Martinez in March 2015. The couple has three daughters: Michelle Celeste “Chelsea”, Nicola Patrice, and Francisca Pia.

Recently, he attended a parenting forum where he talked about his fatherhood journey as well as some of the struggles he faced in raising his two daughters with wife Nikka.

This is what he said.

“When you’re not a father they say that it’s hard daw, magpalit ng diaper, mga ganun. Pero when it’s there kayang kaya mo lang. Of course pag pagod ka there are some challenges na pagod na pagod ka na tapos yung baby mo ayaw pa matulog.”

“Yun lang yung mga challenges pero siyempre sanay naman tayo sa puyat kasi pag artist aka lagi kang napupuyat,” the actor said.

He’s a hands-on dad to his children. Sharing his normal routine every day. Waking up at 5 am to assist his children to go to school.

Sending and picking them up after class. He and her wife Nikka are both very hands-on to their daughters because for them, their love and care is very important to their children’s daily life.

Patrick also shared that fatherhood is a lot happier than show business because according to him being a father means a lot of laughter, tears, drama and even suspense.

But there was no horror and it has been the happiest thing that ever happened to him.

Although Patrick is now inactive in showbizness, for his family, he’s the best and award-winning father.
