Vanessa Del Bianco, a Filipina-Italian who was born and raised in Canada found her way to the Philippine showbiz industry when she won the Model Search America.
Through this, Vanessa Del Bianco was able to join the ‘Star Circle Quest Batch 4’ of the Kapamilya network including Nikki Valdez, Kristine Hermosa, Dominic Ochoa, Dimples Romana, and Julia Clarete.
She then became a host in the noontime show of the network ‘Magandang Tanghali Bayan’ with the three male main hosts Randy Santiago, Willie Revillame, and John Estrada.
During that time, her talent on the dance floor was also noticed and many were captivated every time she was showcasing her dance moves.
Vanessa also did some commercial for a famous anti-dandruff shampoo.
The celebrity from Canada proved that she can be versatile in showbiz when she was included in the cast of youth-oriented show ‘Gimik’ and several primetime teleserye in the Kapamilya network.
Her name faced controversy when she was romantically involved with John Estrada who that time was still married to his ex-wife Janice de Belen.
When the noontime show ‘MTB’ vanished on air, the career of Vanessa Del Bianco started to fade off along with her controversial relationship with John.
That time, she decided to went back to Canada to pursue her studies which she said was her personal goal.
“At that time, it was right for me to leave and pursue something else that I was very passionate about – school. Something I was putting on hold for a long time,” she said during an interview.
When she left showbiz, there were rumors that she got pregnant and she and John tied the knot already. However, Vanessa cleared out that she never got pregnant and they did not get married.
She came back to the Philippines in 2005 as a host of ‘Stardance: The Search for the Dance Idol’.
The former actress/host is currently living in Canada and works as a sales manager in Mayfair Club.
It was said that she still accepts modeling jobs for a commercial once in a while. She was also asked if what she missed about the Philippines, by then she answered.
“My work. I missed performing in front of a live audience. I miss the energy you derive from a live audience and the energy that I generate among them. ‘Yon talaga. One thing that I’m passionate about is dancing.”
